On April 25, 2006, I have conducted a new serie of indoor test flights with the GFS-UAV N-01A. The purpose of these flights is to test the manoeuvrability and the translation of the UAV at high speed.
You will find below some photos and a video of the test flights.
The hovering is still impressive and very stable.
While the power is increased the UAV climbs at high speed.
The N-01A is able to translate at high speed in straight
line at a constant level above the ground.
As a confirmed pilot of RC helicopters, I am very surprised by
the stability of the flight during the N-01A translation,
much more than with a common helicopter.
Woow, this is very fun and I really enjoy to pilot my N-01A...
The N-01A is able to do a high speed turn during the translation.

Comments from Jean-Louis Naudin : During these N-01A test flights, I have been very surprised by the capabilities of the UAV to translate and turn at high speed and also to stop very quickly. The translation at high speed is done in straight line at a constant level above the ground without need of compensation, this is really impressive. As a confimed pilot of RC helicopters, I can say that the UAV N-01A has a great potential of manoeuvres and the steering is far more simple than a common helicopter...
